We are now offering Neurographic Art Classes!
Neurographic Art is a therapeutic, abstract art form created by psychologist Pavel Piskarev in 2014. It combines art and psychology to reduce stress and foster mindfulness. It involves drawing spontaneous, flowing, neuron-like lines, rounding out all sharp intersections, and adding color to reframe thoughts, connect the conscious with the subconscious, and create a calming, meditative experience. Ok, ok, I know it sounds a bit “out there”, but there is actual, real science backing this process up. I myself have experienced incredible improvement in my mind and body as I’ve added this art form to my daily routine.
Initial introductory classes will be an hour long and you should be able to proceed with creating more of this art
on your own after participating in just one session should you wish (though, each session will feature a different design, so feel free to keep on coming back for more!).
I will be adding more one hour classes as we go along to
give you additional opportunities to try my line of introductory level designs as well as longer classes
where more advanced designs can be explored.

The most important part of this art form is actually the process of creating it. The end result can be delightful or strange, but the result is just a byproduct of the healing process. Students are encouraged to keep their art if it brings them joy. If it doesn’t, then they’re free to burn it in our little fire pit out back if they wish. That might seem extreme, but studies have shown that destroying something that you’ve created in this way and are not happy with has a whole other kind of benefit.
